Bass and bluefish action was consistent this past week, cited Capt. Frank Wagenhoffer of Fin Chaser Charters. Frank told me during the early part of the week it was all eeling, but by mid-week the fishing had turned to trolling. The boat had fish to just shy of 30-pounds with some big bluefish mixed in. "Looks like the bass are starting to spread out and more and more fish are being taken on the troll," Frank said.

It was a mix of schoolie bass and blues in New York Harbor for charters fishing with Fin Chaser Charters. Capt. Frank Wagenhoffer said he found the better fishing on the outgoing water on eels and did troll some on mojos. Frank said fishing tapered off towards the end of the week, mainly due to a lot of boat traffic. Some bass had moved into the upper part of Raritan Bay, but the fishing was sporadic.
