Bob Rose at Bob's Bait & Tackle in Amity Harbor reported the shop will be open all year and will be attending all the major and smaller sport shows and flea markets in the area. The shop is open seven days per week, but on show weekendsdays, the shop will be closed. The shop specializes in custom tied rigs and will tie your favorite design or color if asked. Does chartreuse and orange tip your fancy for fluking? Bob can tie it! Rod and reel repair is also best served in the winter months, so bring in the gear now, don't wait. As for fishing, herring is a solid option at any of the deeper water piers, close to the inlets – Captree Overlook, Park Ranger Station and Magnolia should all have herring on them. On those nicer winter days, you could also hop aboard a party boat sailing for cod.
