Ed from Jones Beach Fishing Station reported on the results of the Jones Beach Classic held over the weekend. What has become the norm this season, no bluefish were entered over the course of the three day event. Despite the tough conditions, participants did manage to come up with three bass to fill out that category. First place and $500 went to Nelson Felix for a 25.30 pounder that he took on a rubber shad. John Stanley's 19.65 pounder taken on a bucktail, and Henry Monteagudo's 17.20 pound fish that took a bunker chunk rounded out the scoring. During the week, there was a pick of mostly shorts at West End, Field 6 JB and Tobay.
