Robin over at Peace Token Bait and Tackle sends word of a slow go on tog fishing out front, and reports that the white chins are hit or miss. Some days were good, and others weren't as blackfish have been on the finicky side as the Porgy IV and Cape May Lady are still offering trips. The shop is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through the week and 7-2 on Sundays.
The crew at Peace Token Bait and Tackle said it's been pretty cold and not a lot has been reported since before Christmas.
Robin over at Peace Token Bait and Tackle sends word of a great bass bite out front over the last few weeks of December with anglers doing well both in bay and out on he troll. There was still action as the year ended, and Mike and the crew will remain open as anglers' choices are down to tog and stripers out front as the New Year comes in. The for-hire boats of course will stay in the water as long as possible in search of tautog, while the inshore gang could head to the creeks for some perch.
Robin over at Peace Token Bait and Tackle said folks are still catching 40- to 50-pound striped bass trolling with mojos. Tog is also going well, with fish coming in at over 10 pounds, and many more in the 6- to 8-pound range. "We will have a blackfish trip coming up on Thursday, December 21, leaving at 8 a.m.," Robin said, telling customers to call the shop for further details.
