The Canyon Runner Sportfishing crew is getting ready for its seminar series in Atlantic City and New York and has some new wrinkles this year, including an appearance by Capt. Tred Barta. "Capt. Tred Barta was the true offshorecanyon and bigeye pioneer. He blazed the way for all those to come. You can be sure every single member of the Canyon Runner team will be sitting in on all of Capt. Tred's brand new breakout sessions," Adam said.

Adam said the Canyon Runner Sportfishing was thrilled to have Capt. Tred Barta confirm again for the 2018 Seminar Series. This year's offshore extravaganza will be held on January 27 in Atlantic City; Tred of course is one of the guys who really helped pioneer the bigeye fishery back in the day. Adam said all new sessions are planned for the upcoming series for those who are returning from previous events.

Adam said striper fishing had been good all week aboard the Canyon Runner Sportfishing but tapered off on Saturday. "We caught 15 to 30 bass a trip, but only a couple caught on Saturday," Adam said, adding that the size range of the fish has been 35 to 45 inches as fish continue moving south.

  • November 27, 2017 Open or Close

In between all the striped bass action, Adam said the Canyon Runner Sportfishing crew has set the 2018 seminar series dates. The Atlantic City event will be held on January 27, 2018, while in New York it's being held on February 24. Should be another killer series of offshore seminars.
