If you’ve grown tired of wading through political rants and looking at what friends put on top of their scrambled eggs just to find a few fishing pictures at Facebook, maybe it’s time for Fishbook!
The Fisherman Magazine is excited to announce that we’re adding more interactivity to TheFisherman.com, with a new ADD YOUR REPORT button and uploading feature so that you too can contribute reports and catch photos from throughout the region while also checking in on the latest action aboard your favorite boats and tackle shops.
Every weekend, field editors for all three editions of The Fisherman Magazine stay busy compiling reports from throughout the range, talking with local captains and tackle shop owners.
Just before sunrise on Monday morning, your weekly edition goes to print, with a selection of the top reports in your area posted online at TheFisherman.com. On Monday afternoon, subscribers then get their updated digital edition to get the full rundown of reports from the weekend before.
We also have a new Fishing Log feature posted every Monday by our regional field editors in New England, New York and the New Jersey, Delaware Bay edition featuring a summary rundown of action with some of the latest photos from your area. That’s where you as a reader can help dial in your friends and neighbors to all of the regional action.
Our ultimate goal is to strengthen our unique community of anglers all tied in to The Fisherman Magazine, and we’re encouraging readers to help become reporters as well! And not just the readers either – for captains and tackle shops interested in adding additional reporting during the week, you’re also invited to use the ADD YOUR REPORT feature.
Take pride in your catch, respect your fellow angler, and share news of your catch simply clicking on the ADD YOUR REPORT button on our homepage, and uploading your latest report information.
Don’t forget, our editorial staff continues to monitor reports all week long in an effort to provide the best weekend forecast possible which we deliver to your email box every Thursday at noon. This comprehensive Video Forecast will begin to incorporate some your reports during the week as well, so make ‘em count!
As Tom “Grumpy” Hansen of Grumpy’s Tackle in New Jersey is often heard telling shop visitors, “don’t just read the reports, go make 'em!”
Here’s your chance to read ‘em, make ‘em and post ‘em too!
