FISHING WORTH WATCHING

There are a pair of fishing shows that can help stoke that urge to wet a line, and are certainly worth checking out when weather or the season keeps you from playing your favorite game. Both feature top notch anglers from the Northeast, and their energy and passion for fishing is especially contagious.

FISHING WORTH WATCHING

Fish Mavericks
Fish Mavericks focuses on an eclectic crew of five guys (Capt. Dave Schunke, Jerry and Jon Harris, and pranksters Robb and Chris Pami) from diverse backgrounds, but with one thing in common - they love to fish and have fun doing it. Their antics while chasing down a variety of gamefish are entertaining, and sometimes outrageous. Each week, they travel to diverse locations, sometimes to compete in tournaments and often against bigger boats with bigger budgets. Follow them as they fish hard, play hard, and maybe even teach you a thing or two.

Catch Fish Mavericks on American Heroes Channel and Time Warner Cable Sports, and also find it 24/7 streaming on Waypoint TV and Amazon Prime. For updated scheduling, go to www.fishmavericks.com.

Finchasers TV
Finchasers TV features Capt. Frank Crescitelli, a charter captain, light tackle guide, tournament angler, lure designer and owner of Guides Choice Tackle, manufacturer of Guides Secret Professional Grade Fishing Gear. It would be difficult to find anyone more passionate or dedicated to the sport than Capt. Frank. His passion for fishing is only matched by his dedication to protecting our marine resources as the chairman and founder of the Fishermens' Conservation Association (FCA).

Travel with Frank as he sets out with guests like baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs and celebrity chef Kerry Heffernen on the tournament trail, and to hunt down world records in salt and freshwater, pitting his knowledge and skill against some of the best anglers in the world.

Fin Chasers TV airs on Destination America, Saturday mornings at 6 a.m. and on the Pursuit Channel and Time Warner Cable Sports. Go to www.finchaserstv.com for updated viewing schedules.
