From slot limits to conservation equivalency, a slew of subjects relating to black sea bass, scup and fluke will be discussed.

Public hearings relating to black sea bass, scup and fluke begin on November 5, 2018 and continue throughout the month.

While Atlantic states from Massachusetts through Virginia have scheduled hearings to gather public comment on Draft Addenda XXXI and XXXII to the Summer Flounder, Scup and Black Sea Bass Fishery Management Plan (FMP), we get things started this week in New England with Connecticut on Monday, November 5 and Rhode Island on Wednesday, November 7. Massachusetts will follow later this month on November 28. The details of the New England hearings is noted below, and you can get the details on the other member states of the ASMFC as well as complete details on the draft addenda.

Interested groups are encouraged to provide input on Draft Addenda XXXI and XXXII either by attending state public hearings or providing written comment. Draft Addenda are available HERE and HERE. They can also be accessed on the Commission website (www.asmfc.org) under Public Input.
