We arrived in Cabo before Sunrise where many of the anglers departed to head back east into the bitter cold. After the water taxi exchange, we pulled anchor and worked our way past the famous arch of Cabo San Lucas. If time permits, we will fish the yellowtail hot spot on our cruise north.

John Nappo of Trophy tackle has fished over a dozen of these long range trips and can't stress enough the importance of selecting the correct hook for proper bait presentation. He regaled us with a tutorial on this subject as we steamed along the Baja coast enjoying calm seas and favorable conditions.
