LAMIGLAS SUPER SURF G-2 SERIES RODS
Surf rods have come a long way since my first H-I (Horrocks-Ibbotson) nine footer, a gift from mom and dad at the age of nine. That was back in 1961 (ouch) and the evolution of surf rods from then until now has been nothing short of amazing, but changes in surf rods over the last decade have been even more mind boggling.

Lamiglas’ Super Surf Series is a perfect example of the rapid improvements being made to surf rods. The series was a big hit as one of the first surf rod lines designed specifically to be fished with braid. That was just five or so years ago, and now enter the Super Surf 2G (Second Generation) Series – lighter, more durable and better casting than their predecessor thanks to the latest advancements in blank construction and components. These rods are approximately 25 percent lighter than those in the original Super Surf series. The 2G series meets the demand for a light, but powerful rod that greatly reduces the amount of effort expended during a lengthy session in the surf.

Included in the series are one 9-footer, three 10-footers and one 11 foot model. All are two-piece except for one 10-foot medium/heavy model. All feature light-weight Fuji K-Series Alconite guides, comfortable tapered Fuji reel seats, a shrink tube butt and fore grip, and an attractive dark blue metallic finish. If you like the original Super Surf series, you’ll love the second generation of these quality surf sticks. Check them out on their website or call 1-800-325-9436.
