A full-time outdoor writer, and a documentary and commercial photographer, Joel Luck's has written hundreds of articles covering fishing, hunting, camping, kayaking, hiking, conservation and SCUBA diving since his first published piece appeared back in 1991. He is a past president of the New York State Outdoor Writers Association, a longtime member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, and a member of The International Explorers Club.

In addition to his reports and articles in The Fisherman, Joel's works include photo-essays for OutdoorLife.com, and contributions to other prestigious venues including ESPN Outdoors Saltwater, Cabela’s Outfitter Journal, Bass Pro Shops Online Library, Kayak Angler, Sport Diver, Offshore and  National Geographic Snorkeler.
