Albright Knot
The versatile Albright knot has a wide range of uses. It is not only easy to tie but also suitable for joining different types of fishing line such as braided to monofilament, or braided to wire. The Albright knot is useful when joining monofilaments with different diameters.
Step 1
Form a loop in line A. Hold between thumb and forefinger. Pass line B down through loop.
Step 2
Hold both lines between thumb and forefinger and coil tag end of line B around the loop and standing line.
Step 3
Coil no less than twelve times and pass the tag end through the loop, the same way it enters.
Step 4
Wet the knot thoroughly and pull together slowly to tighten. Trim ends closed.
Step 5
Completed Albright Knot.
