Double-Shot Of Kayak Seminars At Jersey Boat Sale & Expo

news

The Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo cruises into FirstEnergy Park, Home of the Lakewood BlueClaws from September 24th through the 26th.  This popular annual event, which began in 2009, is produced by the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey (MTA/NJ) and is a highlight of the fall boating season.

On Saturday, September 25, the Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo will feature kayak fishing workshops presented by Gary Ward of Fishermen’s Supply and Hobie Kayaks.  Gary will be on-hand to answer questions about kayak fishing, while presenting a pair of mini-seminars designed to put you into the paddle and pedal action.

At 11 a.m. join Gary for an intro into Gearing Up For Kayak Fishing in which the Hobie pro-staffer will take you through the essential of fishing from a kayak.  Whether you’re fishing local ponds for panfish, fluking in the bays and rivers, or pushing out beyond the breakers for bigger game, Gary’s got it covered.  At 1 p.m. join Gary for another spotlight this time on Tactics for Fishing From a Kayak.

Recently featured on the cover of The Fisherman with a bluefin caught 2 miles off the Jersey Shore, Gary can help put you into the action this fall, with advice to carry you through 2021 and into the action again in 2022.   Presented in part by The Fisherman, these workshops from Fishermen’s Supply in Point Pleasant and Hobie Kayaks are free with your entry to the Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo.

The cost to attend is only $7 per person with children under 12 admitted for free when accompanied by an adult.  Parking is free.  Contact-less tickets can be purchased online at JerseyBoatExpo.com for an easy, contact-less entry into the show.  Be sure to stop by The Fisherman’s table under the tent to get your new or renewed subscription as well.

Show hours are Friday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.  For more information contact MTA/NJ at 732-292-1051.  Proceeds from the event go towards MTA/NJ’s ongoing efforts to promote, advance, and protect the recreational boating industry in New Jersey.
