In addition to the multiday shows throughout the region this winter, local fishing clubs are also putting on the finishing touches for their one-day fishing flea markets in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region. If you’re looking for new or used fishing gear, including antiques and collectibles, the January lineup is looking solid from the Jersey Shore on out to the Delaware Valley.
First up on Saturday, January 10 is the New Jersey Beach Buggy Association’s Pete D’Alessio Memorial flea market held at the Toms River Elks at 600 Washington Street from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, free for children 15 and under with adult admission. One week later, the Delaware Valley Surf Anglers (DVSA) will host their 17th annual fishing flea market on Saturday, January 17 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at VE German Club at 130 Davisville Road in Warminster, PA. Back down the Jersey Shore, the Lacey Township High School Fishing Club will hold their 16th Annual Fisherman’s Flea Market on Sunday, January 18 at the Lacey Township High School, 73 Haines Street in Lanoka Harbor. The show is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a $5 adult admission, children 10 and under are admitted free.
The following Sunday, January 25 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Southern Ocean County chapter of the Sunshine Foundation will host their annual fishing flea market at the Edward Thornton Little Egg Harbor Community Center located at 319 W. Cala Breeze Way about a half-mile west of Radio Road in Little Egg Harbor Township. Admission is $3. For details email fishthesunshine2@gmail.com.
