The fish ate a jig tipped with a salmon red Gulp. While vacationing in Seaside Park with his family, 6-year-old Frankie Notare caught this blowfish inside Barnegat Bay. He’s been an avid fisherman since he could walk and has could most of the inshore species already! Alyssa Sussman was able to grab a limit of fluke while fishing on the Miss Montauk during a summer trip. While fishing out in Southold, Anthony Nuzzi boated this 29-inch fluke using the tried, tested and true squid and spearing combo. On July 21th, Captain Rich Cowling caught this massive black drum around the Breezy Point area. Tom Luciano first stopped at Chasing Tails Bait & Tackle to pick up some shop rigs and then proceeded to fish inside the Great South Bay for this 11.22- pound fluke caught on that rig tipped with a Gulp. Jeff Lamont shows off his personal best fluke caught west of the Ponquogue Bridge in Shinnecock Bay. Troy Cogger has a knack for fluke fishing because on his first trip to Smith Point Beach he caught and released 15 of them on a bucktail and teaser rig.
