Don’t forget about the incredible freshwater options we have in the region!
Here in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region our marine fisheries opportunities lead the way with The Fisherman’s readers. But it’s safe to say that with all that angling attention in the salt, it leaves plenty of stones unturned in our freshwater fisheries!
From the flowing trout streams and salmon-stocked lakes of Northwest Jersey, to the “put and take” ponds and pickerel laden cedar swamps in South Jersey – all the way out into the mountains of upstate New York and the Poconos – freshwater fishing options have never been better.
When the striper run has passed, and the cold winds blow unfavorable conditions offshore for wreck fishing, attach your freshwater license and trout stamp that favorite cap of yours and take a taste of the sweetwater opportunities abounding throughout the Garden State and beyond.
