Season Of Change - The Fisherman

Season Of Change

This is the time of year when the fishery shifts major gears. Summer staples like fluke and porgies are still around, but now the first waves of stripers, blues, and albies are showing in force. It’s that exciting overlap when one season fades into the next, giving anglers a little bit of everything on each tide. Remember, you have until October 15 this year to hook into this last fluke of the season. Fall tog begins the last day of the summer flattie season ends (October 15) in the Sound and October 11 in NY Bight waters.
