Capt. Pete Casale of the My Mate reports the fall bass blitz has begun with insane action with stripers at the point to over 40-pounds. These bass are gulping down rain bait, bunker and an assortment of mackerel. Sea bass are chewing and doing so hard by Block Island

Capt. Pete Casale of the My Mate reports overall a great week with plenty of bass off Block Island with nonstop action. The Montauk area has blues, some decent fluking, and plenty of scup. Offshore, the last two weeks have been great for the boats heading out early in the morning for the bluefin bite. Capt. Pete Casale of the My Mate reports Monday saw the Albrecht crew fought and released 2 mako sharks. On Tuesday, Grant Jones and son Courtland caught and released a thresher of over 450-pounds. It was a long fight and the monster took the boat a half-mile before coming to the boat and being released. Thursday had the Votis crew enjoy a great day with slot bass, a sea bass limit to 4-pounds, and some big scup. Mike Leeds had a good day with slot bass, and limit of sea bass on Friday, while the Jack Schwartz crew nailed 6 slot bass, a limit of sea bass, and a bunch of porgies on Saturday.
