“We gave it a try for fluke on Saturday and found real tough fishing with some short fluke and a porgy coming over the rails,” said Capt. Captain Joe Baumle started his saltwater fishing career at age 3, fishing with his father out of Atlantic Highlands. He caught his first striped basss at age 4, and his first tuna at age 8. In the last 40+ years, he has continued to hone his skills and has caught everything the New Jersey/New York ocean has to offer, from giant bluefin tuna to snapper blues. He specializes in striped bass and bottom fishing for blackfish. Fishing out of the Leonardo State Marina (near Sandy Hook) for the past 24+ years, he looks forward to taking you on your next fishing adventure. Come fishing or cruising on the "Sour Kraut". It has a 42-foot Provincial 625 HP John Deere diesel engine, custom built in Prince Edward Island, Canada. It has a very spacious cockpit for comfort, ideal for fishing. One to six passenger charters available.
