SUMMARY:GATHERING OF ANGLERS FOR NYSFC CLUBS
DESCRIPTION:The Gathering of Anglers competition which is open to all clubs registered to compete in the New York Surf Fishing Contest will be held from 5 p.m. Friday\, October 25 through noon Sunday\, October 27 out of Captree State Park in conjunction with the South Shore Surf Fishing Classic. Only striped bass and bluefish are eligible for the Gathering. Winners will be announced during the South Shore Classic awards ceremony beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. A barbecue will be held in the east parking lot of Captree State Park following the awards ceremony. Clubs should provide their own food and drinks for their members. This is a competition based on camaraderie and is for bragging rights only. This year’s installment is being hosted by Bayside Anglers Group.
