FISHING LOGS: Long Island, Metro NY
West End South

Posted By Geoffrey Lawrence, June 11, 2018
Sheryl Kallo scored this 26-inch fluke inside Jamaica Bay.
Stay in the bay for summer flatties. Anglers who experimented and steamed outside the inlets were greatly disappointed and found only shorts. All the reports indicated that light tackle definitely offers a huge advantage so try not to go above 1-ounce if possible. Reynolds Channel and the FI Reef saw some decent action. Bass are biting well and some massive specimens were encountered. Fish to 40-pounds plus were weighed in. It seemed that anglers who trolled saw the best results with Mojo rigs and bunker spoons. Many bass were found just outside Debs Inlet.
