FISHING LOGS: Long Island, Metro NY
North Shore

Posted By Geoffrey Lawrence, September 17, 2018
Bluefish action has improves in the Sound and there has been no letup in the porgy action. This jumbo was caught aboard the James Joseph.
I know it’s getting repetitious but porgies and snappers are still providing the most consistent action all along the North Shore. All areas from City Island to Port Jeff had positive news on scup. Bluefish are becoming far more cooperative. Some jumbos have been trolled on the Middle Grounds. Bass aren’t exactly popping open just yet, but a party boat found good numbers of them at the Triangle during a bluefish jig trip on the night bite.
