Porgies remain the best bet but albies are coming on strong, especially to the east.
It was another slow week for reports due to the weather. However, this week the weather is clearing and there are some sunny days ahead. Porgies are once again going non-stop. The scup grounds have also yielded some weakfish, blues, sea bass and kingfish. Sea bass action showed some slight improvement with more keepers coming up. Decent sea bass activity has taken place at the Middle Grounds. If you want some fun action on false albies target buoy 9 and the entrance to Mt. Sinai Harbor, or follow the birds. Deadly Dicks have proven to be very effective on the albies. Blues have popped up in various areas including buoy 11, the Middle Grounds and the Triangle.
