There is a plethora of saltwater appetizers on the menu for fishermen in southern New England this week. Although the commercial tuna season is closed until December first, the recreational release fishery it is a great time to enjoy tuna fishing for the amazing sport fishing experience that it is. The inshore species are also on the move, very hungry and aggressive. School-sized stripers are everywhere as well as jumbo stripers and bluefish. It may not be beach weather anymore, but fishing activity is at its peak. It is a great opportunity to take advantage of some fantastic fall action.
