FISHING LOGS: New Jersey & Delaware Bay
Delaware, Maryland & Chesapeake Bay

Posted By Eric Burnley, October 15, 2018
The crew at Lewes Harbour Marina said Liam Emmert has fishing in his blood! He hung in there and fished all day with the big guys including his dad Will, Francis Walsh and Jason King on the Lightening Boat at Del Jersey with squid and clams.
Fishing was pretty good off the Delaware Coast before Mike stopped by. Sea bass fishing was excellent at the Del-Jersey-Land Reef with some flounder and triggerfish mixed in the catch. The surf and inlet were loaded with small blues and the occasional flounder, croaker and spot. Delaware Bay reef sites saw a mixed bag of blues, croaker, spot, triggerfish and sheepshead. Larger sheepshead were caught at the Outer Wall and Ice Breakers. Sea bass in the ocean and the mixed bag at bay reef sites will be your best bet for this week. Out on the Chesapeake, fall fishing patterns are taking over from the summer patterns which means more breaking fish and better casting for striped bass in the shallows. The best bet for this week is either run and gun the breaking fish or troll channel edges.
