TOGGIN’ IT OUT

TOGGIN’ IT OUT
It was a good day for this charter aboard the Katydid over the weekend with six citation tautog weighed in at Lewes Harbour Marina including Bill Keefer (7.11 pounds), Dr. Tony (7.64 pounds), Chris Thawley (9.27 pounds), Lou Pennella (7.34 pounds), Ron Mistretta (9.76 pounds) and Bob Murphy (7.66 pounds).
The weather continues to dominate any thought of fishing as high winds and heavy rains were once again responsible for lost opportunities. The only constant has been the white perch and catfish from the local tidal creeks and rivers and small tog out of the Indian River Inlet and from the Outer Wall in Delaware Bay. Out on the Chesapeake, trolling in 25 to 45 feet of water at the mouths of rivers or along channel edges has been the best technique for catching striped bass as they school up and head down the bay.
