TOG OPENS ON BOTH SHORES

TOG OPENS ON BOTH SHORES
Tog like this one will be on the minds of anglers well into December.
Blackfish season opened up on Long Island Sound this past Friday, while the season in New York Bight (South Shore) opens tomorrow - Tuesday, October 15. Tog fans have been anxiously awaiting these dates and should be out in force in the coming weeks. There was a month-long spring season in April with a two fish bag limit that drew very little attention. Most anglers await the fall season which in the Sound runs from October 11 through December 9 with a three fish per day bag limit. The New York Bight season runs from October 15 through December 22 with a four fish per day limit. There is a 16-inch minimum size limit in effect for all waters.
