FISHING LOGS: New Jersey & Delaware Bay

Posted By Nick Honachefsky, October 9, 2017
It seems like the surf got an injection of true fall lifeblood last week as the first real deal stripers were hooked along the northern coast. False albacore finally popped up in some great numbers from Sandy Hook down through Barnegat Inlet, giving anglers a shot at reel-scorching action. Small super snapper blues as well as choppers up to 8 pounds or so seem to be the common catch all along the beachfront. Look for surf activity to only pick up from this day forward as water temps begin to dip and cool nights spark the migration.
