FISHING LOGS: New Jersey & Delaware Bay

Posted By Nick Honachefsky, November 20, 2017

As this will be the last Beach Talk of the year, and since it is Thanksgiving week, I want to say thank you to all the surf rats that follow the column. May you be into some quality bass fishing the rest of the year! That said, we finally saw the first wave of big bass move into the central and south jersey waters, while the northern shores continue to give up both shorty and lunker linesiders. Blackfishing remains hot and heavy off the inlet rocks and back canals. Winter flounder fishing is getting hotter by the day off the northern area bulkheads. There were also reports of big bluefish along the surf this week. Moving into late November and December, be primed for the meat and potatoes of the Fall Run. Fish early, fish late and fish often!
