Rhode Island

With several hundred thousand trout stocked across Rhode Island this year, there are plenty of fish still to be caught! (Photo courtesy of the RI DEM)
If you read last week’s report you may remember that I was thinking about getting out for opening day or trout season. The opening day tradition is something that I had ignored in recent years due to crowds and a lack of time, but I’m happy to report that I did get out this year. Sure it was crowded, and the fishing in the early morning was only so-so, but it was great catching up with some old friends and once again experiencing the excitement of opening day!
