SQUID HIT RHODY

Posted By John Hanecak, May 14, 2018
SQUID HIT RHODY
While this picture comes from a squid trip on the Frances Fleet last May, reports of squid moving into Rhody waters increased notably this week. This should help to improve local fluke action dramatically.
The fishing reports have squid starting to move into Rhode Island waters this past week which means good things for anglers. Whether you’re a fan of catching, and eating, the squid themselves or prefer to target any of the multitude of species that rely heavily on squid as a primary forage this time of year, reports of their arrival means good things! Spots in Newport, Narragansett Bay, off Block Island and along South County all had reports of squid this week.
