June 1, 2020:
"I've been hearing that bluefin, not a lot, but still some fish, are being caught trolling spreader bars along the 40 Fathom Line," says Big John G. at Fin-Atics Marine Supply, adding that the weather and subsequent sea conditions the past week have been keeping a lot of boats in that would normally be on the early season hunt.

"Massey's should probably be a good shot for various size bluefin on the jig or chunk," opined Big John with Fin-Atics in Ocean City, adding that the Wilmington Canyon could surprise with yellowfin in the 40- to 60-pound class. He suggests an early morning troll and then switching to the chunk.

"The Baltimore and the Wilmington for shots at yellowfin," reported Big John with Fin-Atics Marine Supply, noting that trolling jet heads and ballyhoo are also inciting whacks from white marlin. Adds the New GranPa, "Get a fairly calm drift and you're going to put blue line and golden tilefish in the box. Bait and jig."

Big John with Fin-Atics Marine Supply expects the yellowfin to show in the Wilmington and Baltimore where they were on the chomp before the big seas. "Same for the white marlin in the Wilmington. They were in there heavy. Hopefully good water moves back in," he said.
