    Matt with Lewes Harbour Marina tells of a good bite from blue line and golden tilefish in the Wilmington Canyon. Mahi are scattered, but good catches of smaller gaffers and chickens are being made by those will ling hop the pots, then hop some more.

    "The temperature breaks 45 miles out to the Wilmington and Baltimore for the wahoo," advised Matt with Lewes Harbour Marina. The 30- to 70-pound 'hoos are hammering the blackred Yo-Zuri Bonito and also the blackpurple Wahoo Whacker pulled from 9.5 to 12 knots. It's mahi mania at the pots and temperature breaks from north of the Baltimore Canyon down through the Norfolk. Trolling the main game but the dorado are also nabbing pitched jigs and baits.

    Meanwhile Matt at Lewes Harbour Marina directs all interested in getting in on the yellowfin action out of Delaware to the area just north of the Norfolk, where tuna from 40 to a hernia-inducing 120 pounds are crushing bars and ballyhoo. White marlin to 60 pounds are all over out there and are being caught on 'hoos, spreader bars and dredges. It's a hot strip bait bite for golden and blue line tilefish in the 750- to 950-foot reach.

    "Peanuts to gaffers," observes Matt with Lewes Harbour Marina describing the mahi mix being caught via the pitch and the troll around the pots and flotsam in the Wilmington. This canyon's 500- to 850-foot reach is yielding copious amounts of golden tilefish in the 5- to 30-pound range, both on the jig and various baits.
