Chris at Blue Water Ventures in Southold reported Mark was out a couple days this past week trying to catch some trout and was successful in Southaven Park using worms and yellow poppers. He also fished Artist Lake and was very happy to catch a real nice 18-inch largemouth and a perch which he reports was nearly 12 inches long. Alan fished a couple local ponds here on the North Fork and was glad to see that the cooler temps put the bass on the bite. Using small white and green hair jigs he managed to catch four largemouths, the largest being just over 19 inches. Also in the mix were plenty of bluegills and one, 14-inch pickerel. Tom was fishing Hallockville pond Saturday late afternoon and was very happy with the 20-plus sunnies he caught using earthworms and rubber worms.
