Buck Tails Outfitters

November 11, 2019:
Outside of the pickerel fishing things have really started to slow down in the lower part of the state said Marissa over at Buck Tails Outfitters. She said with hunting in full swing and anglers chasing the bass in the brine, sweetwater participation has been spotty at best. We got a report of slow fishing in the lower part of the state from Dan over at Buck Tails Outfitters. He said the only news to come into the store this past week was of some nice trout being pulled from the Maurice River and a mix of perch, catfish, small stripers and a few crappies being caught off the bulkhead at Mays Landing. He also mentioned that most cedar waters are seeing some prime time pickerel fishing on shiners and minnows.

Perch, pickerel and short stripers was the word from Marissa at Buck Tails Outfitters. Both the bulkhead at Mays Landing and the river from the Trestle to the Lenape Dam are seeing very good numbers of perch and increasing amounts of mixed size stripers mainly on bait and jigs tipped with plastic baits. Pickerel fishing has been good in Lenape Lake along with an occasional bass, also on live bait.
