18TH ANNUAL HAMPTONS OFFSHORE INVITATIONAL

The Hamptons Offshore Invitational is a premiere offshore sport fishing tournament for tuna, dolphin, shark and bluefish that benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island. Anglers and fishermen of all ages participate in this sport fishing event every season to raise money for Long Island families in need. The tournament is hosted by the Shinnecock Marlin & Tuna Club and is based out of Oakland’s Marina on Dune Road in Hampton Bays. A captains meeting will take place at Oakland’s on Friday, August 10th at 7 p.m.

There are day and night categories for bigeye, yellowfin and bluefin tuna, true (longfin) albacore, mako and thresher sharks, and mahimahi. Bluefish are eligible for day category only. The entry fee for the Overnight Category is $1,000 and includes two tickets to Awards Dinner, and two separate overnight trips (must return to dock between each trip). The Day Category entry fee is $700 and includes two tickets to Awards Dinner, and 4 out of 9 fishing days (your choice). The entry fee for the Lay Day Category is $150 and allows fishing from 5 a.m. Saturday to 12 p.m. noon Sunday on the same weekend. Fishing days are Saturday, August 11th thru Sunday, August 19th.

All weigh-ins are at Oakland’s Marina from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 11th through Sunday, August 19th. Weigh-ins on Sunday, August 20th end at noon. A gala Awards Dinner will take place on Sunday, August 19th at Oakland’s Marina from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. It includes cocktails, dinner, awards, raffles and a silent auction.
