1ST PHILADELPHIA FISHING SHOW KICKS OFF FEB. 22 - The Fisherman

1ST PHILADELPHIA FISHING SHOW KICKS OFF FEB. 22

The first ever Philadelphia Fishing Show will be held this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 22-24 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA with over 75,000 square feet of fishing tackle, guides, apparel, travel destinations, and more.

This is not the same hunting and fishing show that was last held at the Expo Center in 2017, but instead will exclusively feature the very best in local freshwater and saltwater fishing opportunities. The brainchild of Dave DeGennaro, the Philadelphia Fishing Show promises to serve a valuable niche in a market that’s hungry to fish.

“I just thought the time had really come for Philadelphia and all of Pennsylvania to have a fishing show to call its own,” said DeGennaro. “And not just a generic sportsmen’s show, but a pure, exclusive fishing show dedicated to hardcore salt and freshwater anglers.”

The three-day show at Oaks, PA will boast a 5,000-gallon gamefish aquarium, a fully stocked trout pond for the kids, and an immense, 3,000-pound replica white shark mount with a fighting chair challenge. DeGennaro said he’s also brought in a fly casting pond and a cast netting demonstration that provide “hands on” instruction, with round the clock free seminars presented by The Fisherman Magazine (Booth #109). “It’s going to be a great three days.”

Show hours are Friday, February 22 from noon to 7 p.m., Saturday, February 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, February 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center is located at 100 Station Avenue in Oaks, PA, just off Route 422 (Pottstown Expressway). Two seminar rooms hosted by The Fisherman will have a steady schedule of over two dozen fresh and saltwater speakers sharing everything they know about their favorite sport; it’s all included in your admission, which is $10 for adults, $5 for kids aged 6 to 12, and free to all those 5 and under.
