The advanced seven-day weather forecast shows milder, above-freezing temperatures for this weekend ahead, but possibly a touch of rain.  If you’re not chasing tautog around along the eastern wrecks and snags, you might want to join The Fisherman Magazine staff this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, January 9-11 at the first multi-day fishing events of the ’26 show seasons.

The Philadelphia Fishing Show’s dates have changed for ’26, with that three-day event returning to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, January 9-11.  A 100% fishing show with focus on freshwater and saltwater, once again The Fisherman Magazine will be helping compile a full lineup of informative seminars in three separate rooms.

See the full Philadelphia Fishing Show seminar lineup here.

Of course, when The Fisherman team isn’t running back and forth to manage the seminar areas – over 40 seminars across 3 full days – we’ll be stationed at the front of the exhibit hall in booth 100/102 giving out Danco pliers with every new and renewing subscription to The Fisherman (while supplies last).

Philadelphia Fishing Show admission is $12 for adults, kids ages 6 to 12 are $6, and kids 5 and under are as free as the parking.  The show is open Friday from noon to 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.  Look for The Fisherman’s booth as soon as you walk through the front door of the show.   The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center is located at 100 Station Avenue in Oaks, PA.  For show details call 732-330-5674 and see the full Philadelphia Fishing Show seminar lineup by visiting phillyfishingshow.com.

The Wildwood Fishing & Boating Expo will also return to the Wildwood Convention Center from January 9-11 with South Jersey’s “biggest little expo” of the season.  Your $12 admission – $5 for kids ages 6-13, and free for age 5 and under – gets you through the convention center doors where you’ll find 40 vendors along the entrance corridor, and another 50 plus vendors in the main hall as well as a dozen different boat dealers.

With over 80,000 square feet of event space in Wildwood Convention Center, the three-day Wildwood Fishing & Boating Expo is sure to please in the New Year.  The Fisherman will be there again this season in booth 110 with Danco pliers for each and every new or renewing subscription (while supplies last).

In addition to the local fishing and boating vendors, there will be free seminars and a Yeti 65 giveaway each day.  Show hours from 1 to 7 p.m. on Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.  The Wildwoods Convention Center is located at 4501 Boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ Get all the specifics at fishingexpowildwood.com.

In addition to the multiday shows throughout the region this winter, local fishing clubs are also putting on the finishing touches for their one-day fishing flea markets in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region.  First up on Saturday, January 10 is the New Jersey Beach Buggy Association’s Pete D’Alessio Memorial flea market held at the Toms River Elks at 600 Washington Street from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, free for children 15 and under with adult admission.  For information including details on becoming a show vendor, contact Paul Novello at 609-203-4812 or Njstripernut@yahoo.com.
