Quantum is in year three of their new saltwater exclusive relaunch, with a lot to share for the 2026 season. The Fisherman’s Jim Hutchinson, Jr. had a chance to catch up with Quantum’s Mike Rice over the summer for a rundown on new product releases, with the Quantum Exceed and new Merit Free-Liner spinning reels, in addition to the Quantum Rely rods. Since focusing attention on saltwater spinning gear a few years ago, the folks Quantum have been busy with design, testing and product launch geared towards hardcore saltwater anglers, with laser focus on the Northeast.
