Ghosts, goblins, witches and vampires, it must be the Halloween season – the perfect time to introduce Northeast anglers to Vamp Bites Baits. Created by Dave Zeuner of Big Dave’s Tackle in Port Elizabeth, NJ Vamp Bites started with a simple obsession, to give serious anglers the bloodworm scent profile stripers love without the mess, refrigeration, and one-cast lifespan. We met up with Zeuner at ICAST in Orlando, FL over the summer, where he ran us through the lineup of Vamp Bites baits, the shelf-stable, mess-free bait packed with scent that striped bass can’t ignore. If you fish with bloodworms, keep an eye out for these unique Bloodworm Balls made for long nights, changing tides, whenever it’s time trick a few stripers with these bloody treats. Available in a dozen to three-dozen per container, in a tackle shop near you.
