ST. CROIX MOJO JIG RODS - The Fisherman

ST. CROIX MOJO JIG RODS

Vertical jigging has become a major tool in the arsenal of both inshore and offshore anglers here in the Northeast. From stripers and blues, to cod and sea bass, to bluefin tuna, this technique has proven to be a reliable and fun way to score with a wide variety of species.

St. Croix has really stepped up to meet the demand for tackle specifically designed for this type of fishing. Their Mojo Jig Series rods are built on premium SCII graphite blanks with Integrated Poly Curve (IPC) tooling technology, boosted by FRS and Advanced Reinforcing Technologies (ART), making them light in weight, but extremely powerful. The series consists of eight models—four conventional and four spinning—with moderately fast actions ranging from medium to extra heavy, and lengths from 5 feet, 8 inches, to 6 feet, 6 inches.

Mojo Jig Series rods feature Sea Guide guides with corrosion resistant SS304 frames and aluminum oxide rings, Fuji PSS-SD palming reel seats with black hood on conventional models and Fuji DPS reel seats with black hoods on spinning rods, and Fuji gimbals on heavy and extra heavy models. Finishing off the rods are premium EVA handles, a Kigan hook-keeper, two coats of Flex Coat slow cure finish, and under-wrapped guides for added blank protection. They also come with a five-year warranty backed by St. Croix Superstar Service. All models in the series retail for approximately $200.
