Black Hawk Sportfishing is run by Captain Greg Dubrule, who has more than 30 years of experience in the fishing business. While many local fishermen and women have come to know and love the look and feel of the existing boat, over the 2013 to 2014 off season a new boat was purchased and is set to take its place in the fishing community.
The 75-foot boat was purchased back in November and went through a complete overhaul of the bridge and galley this winter. Raymarine was secured as a sponsor and the boat has been outfitted with nothing but the latest and greatest electronics available on the market today. The boat is outfitted with Detroit 60 series engines rated at 750 hp each, making it one of the fastest and most efficient party boats around to quickly reach both the inshore and offshore fishing grounds for its 105 passengers. While the captain obviously plans to continue the usual trips throughout the season that his loyal patrons have come to expect, he also plans to begin running special trips like Montauk fluke, Block Island sea bass and a handful off offshore ventures in search of tuna, shark and tile fish.
