A Fluke-Filled Tournament Weekend At The Jersey Shore

Looking for a little friendly competition on the fluke grounds this weekend?  There are plenty of options for you at the Jersey Shore.

On a statewide basis, the Jersey Coast Anglers Association (JCAA) is running its Heavy Hitters Fluke Tournament for four days, August 4-7.  “We realize that not everyone can fish two, three, or four days so to be fair to everyone, each boat will be limited to fishing only one day,” said JCAA’s Paul Haertel, who added “each entrant will be able to choose the day they fish.

For 2022, JCAA has changed the prize structure so that prizes will be awarded to the single largest fish rather than the three fish total. For details go to jcaa.org or call 732-506-6975.

For lady anglers, there are two choices for Saturday, August 6.  The Jersey Coast Shark Anglers (JCSA) will host “members only” ladies fishing tournament out of Manasquan River.  Check for details with a fellow JCSA member, or contact contact Rick Carroll at 732-773-3409 or Joey Kayhart at 862-432-6814 for all the details.  You can also got to jcsa.org.
