Annapolis Powerboat Show In Maryland From Oct. 3-6

Looking for a nice day trip this week?  Consider a trip down to the Annapolis Harbor, where this Thursday through Sunday, October 3-6, the floating docks will create a temporary marina showcasing new and premiering boats and the latest in boating accessories, equipment and apparel during the Annapolis Powerboat Show.

Annapolis Boat Shows will open its 52nd powerboat show this week at Annapolis City Dock featuring 370 boats for guests to preview alongside tents stocked with the latest in nautical gear and accessories, electronics, communication equipment, education, charter companies, clubs, and more. According to the annapolisboatshows.com website some of the boat makers premiering new entries into the market at this week’s show include Bayliner, Freeman, Flux Marine, Front Runner, Key West, North Coast and Grady White.

Whether you are a boater, angler, or just getting started, you will want to grab your family and head to downtown Annapolis and soak in the boating lifestyle, catch up with old boating friends, and make new ones as you walk the docks.   More than 30 educational workshops will be taking place during the show’s four day run. The topics for this year’s free seminars include trailering, what to look for when buying a used boat, kayak fishing, pet CPR, and more. Along with the handful of fishing focused seminars, anglers will also want to check out the selection of fishing setups on display from OC Kayaks, the CCA MD Kid’s Corner, Furuno’s demo boat, and the wide variety of center consoles and sportfishing boats.

Show hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Admission is $25 online, $30 at the Gate for General Admission from October 4-6 (Box Office is located at Dock St., Exit Bus at 2nd Stop).  It’s $10 general admission for kids age 7 to 15, while age 6 and under are admitted free.  Preview day on October 3 is $40 for all ages, while Sunday is Military Personnel Day for $20.

Boat show visitors are encouraged to park at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium at 550 Taylor Avenue in Annapolis and take a free shuttle to and from the show. Shuttles will run one hour prior to show opening through one hour after the show closes.
