Beach Haven Pirate Ship Sets Sail For Reef Building Efforts

The Beach Haven Charter Fishing Association (BHCFA) and their Junior Mates will be hosting a sunset cruise on the Black Pearl pirate ship on Wednesday June 22 from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. to help raise money for ongoing artificial reef projects off the Long Beach Island coast.

“Always a fun time on the Black Pearl, there will be a brief talk about our artificial reef project and how it helps all of the marine creatures, followed by music and a cash bar,” said BHCFA captain John Lewis.  The minimum donation for this fundraising sunset cruise is $75 per person.

Donations can be made to the BHCFA website (bhcfa.org) by credit card, or checks can be made out to BHCFA Reef Project to the address on the website.   “Please make your tax-deductible donation ASAP as we are limited to 75 people on the ship,” Capt. Lewis said, adding that those interested in sending a check can reserve their spot on June 22 aboard the Black Pearl by contacting him at 609-670-5980.

The Black Pearl is located at 100 N. West Avenue in Beach Haven.
