Big Tuna Challenge Out Of Brielle Sept. 19-30

Captain and Chef Lenny Strobel has worked tirelessly to organize what he is calling a “one of a kind offshore tuna fishing competition” that he’s calling the Big Tuna Challenge. The event will kick off on Thursday, September 18th with the Captains’ Party hosted by Brielle Yacht Club Marina and the Pig and Parrot bar and restaurant, after which teams will choose their two days of competition Option 1 is an overnight (two consecutive days) while Option 2 is two separate days of competing between:

Tournament fishing runs from Friday, September 19th through Tuesday, September 30th. Lenny has taken his brand (RTUSA Challenges LLC) and created a unique format for the offshore fishermen. The uniqueness of this challenge welcomes all sportfishing vessels to compete without the use of any Sonar Omnidirectional Style Sonar”. “Basically, we want captains and crew to fish in a traditional ‘old school method of finding the fish,” Chef Len said.

A portion of the proceeds from the Big Tuna Challenge will go to the Deborah Hospital Foundation. For more details visit rtusachallenges.com or call Chef Lenny at 732-351-6363
