grant — Ice conditions throughout New Jersey were some of the best in recent memory, with many lakes and ponds near the coast also supporting enough ice to fish through, including the lakes on-campus at Stockton University where Grant Johnson got into the action in February.

pete — While Capt. Pete Wagner of the Hyper Striper is surely looking forward to spring stripers on the Raritan, the skipper also reported good ice fishing conditions from Northwest New Jersey out into to the Poconos where he also does some guiding out at Lake Wallenpaupack.

bob — Bob Gasparovic emailed The Fisherman back on January 7th reporting that he and good friends Pamela and Drew found a good time on a Sussex County lake with largemouth bass, yellow perch and this slammer rainbow trout on a tip-up during a weekend trip.

bass — It won’t be long now. Rajere long, AKA Bagboii Scoot, with a jumbo striped bass caught and released on the Delaware River in early April of 2005, somewhere south of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Bagboii was using bloodworm wrapped inside mesh, often referred to appropriately enough as a bloodbag.
