If you’ve got friends and family coming in for the Thanksgiving holiday next week, be sure to celebrate in the Central Jersey surf with the 12th Annual Surf Turkey Tournament from November 22-25. Presented by Charlie’s Bait and Tackle in Normandy Beach, this year’s tournament is catch and release, and the cash prizes are for first and second longest striped bass and a five fish stringer.
The Surf Turkey tournament will kick off at 5 a.m. on the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving and runs through Saturday, November 25 at 5 p.m. The fishing boundaries are from the south jetty of the Manasquan Inlet to the north jetty of Barnegat Inlet. Tournament entry fee is $45.
