The “Connecticut Fishing & Outdoor Show” returns to the Mohegan Sun Earth Expo & Convention Center in Uncasville, CT beginning Friday, March 20 and running through Sunday, March 22. Hours are as follows; Friday, March 20 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Discounted admission tickets are on sale now at www.CTFishingOutdoorShow. “This is the largest fishing and outdoor show in Connecticut, and is designed for longtime fishing and outdoor enthusiasts, as well as for anyone who wants to learn more about angling and other kinds of open air adventure,” explains Kristie Gonsalves, Producer of the Connecticut Fishing & Outdoor Show at Mohegan Sun and President of North East Expos, Inc. “Fishing is the highlight of this annual three-day family event that showcases a wide variety of outdoor activities including freshwater and saltwater fishing, hunting, kayaking, rafting, paddle boards, hunting dog training, safaris, and more.”
“Our mission is to motivate families and children to put down their electronic devices, and instead discover a wide range of outdoor activities and experiences for quality time with each other,” adds Gonsalves. “This year’s event will feature a spacious ‘Kids Fun Zone’ that is three times the size of last year’s with hands-on activities for toddlers through teens where they can discover the wonder and beauty of the outdoors.”
Attendees at the 2026 Show will discover, over 200 booths selling the latest fishing, hunting, outdoor equipment, and fishing boats. Fly Casting Demonstrations by experts in two locations: atop a 5,000-gallon Hawg Trough Live Fish Tank, and on the show’s fly cast pond. At the show you can meet and schedule tours with charter boat fishing captains, hunting outfitters, outdoor adventure and safari promoters. Check in with the CT Dept. of Energy & Environmental & Protection’s (DEEP) to brush up on the latest rules and regulations, and views displays on state’s wildlife, fisheries, boating, hunting and parks. Sit for fly-tying demonstrations by Capt. Ian Devlin and Fred Wilson.
Bring the little ones and bring them into the Kid’s Fun Zone, featuring hands-on activities for toddlers through teens where they can discover the wonder and beauty of the outdoors. Which will include: Dog training demonstrations, Nature Nick’s Animal Adventures Show, Special expert-led seminars for youth on fishing, archery, and hunting safety, plus prize giveaways of archery gear. The Slay Nation Tournament Fishing Kids Casting Corner where experts will teach boys and girls how to fly cast or “flip”, and toddlers can catch plastic fish for prizes – all while costumed character Frankie the Fish greets the crowd. Hourly children’s scavenger hunts where the winner wins tackle boxes and other prizes will also be going on all weekend.
