On April 10, Fisherman Magazine writer and avid fly fisherman Mark Sedotti landed a 6-pound smallmouth bass measuring 52 centimeters (20.47 inches) in Connecticut’s Mattabesset River. The fish was confirmed by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) as the All Tackle Fly Length World Record for the species and is Sedotti’s third IGFA record.
